Our aim is to make delivering YPI NI as straightforward and smooth as possible. Hopefully these top five tips will help you on your way:
All Secondary Schools in Northern Ireland are eligible to participate in YPI NI. Please express your interest by completing this form. All participating schools must submit a Participating School Agreement (PSA) at the beginning of each year.
Key questions to consider are: which full year group will participate in YPI NI, and through which curricular subject area(s) will you deliver the programme. Both an enthusiastic lead teacher and supportive SMT will be needed.
YPI NI can be delivered very successfully within many contexts from Year 9 to Year 14, through single subject areas including LLW, PSHE, RE, English, Drama, Social Subjects and Business Studies, or alongside inter-disciplinary programmes.
Explore the website and access our core YPI NI Teacher Resources Guide, our library for top tips and inspiration, and our map to see what schools are taking part in your area.
Our team is only ever an email or phone call away. In addition, your school will have a focused facilitator to support both planning and delivery. Visit our Meet the Team page.
“Philanthropy is all about making a positive difference in the world by devoting your resources and your time to causes you believe in. In my case, I like to support causes where “a lot of good comes from a little bit of good,” or, in other words, where the positive social returns vastly exceed the amount of time and money invested.”
